The League City Heritage Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organized 15 years ago for the betterment of League City. Our main benefactors are CCISD seniors as we give scholarships each year to deserving students. This year we raised enough for 6 scholarships! In the past we have also donated park benches to the city, a tree for League Park, money for the YMCA after school program, money for the Butler Longhorn Museum, as well as hosting our free Easter Egg Hunt every spring. The League City Heritage Foundation adopted St. Christopher Street and twice yearly we pick up trash. Our members also volunteer for the annual Clear Creek Cleanup. This year, in addition to our scholarships, we raised money for the St. Christopher community garden, and for Clear View High School’s spring 2010 prom. Clear View is a school for at risk students with low enrollment making it difficult to raise adequate funds for functions of this nature. We also donated gift cards to Clear View to help the Community in Schools counselor meet some of the everyday needs of their underprivileged students.
All of this would not be possible if we did not have the continuing support of our donors, sponsors, and volunteers. Thank You!
